How We Work - The Web Design Process

Introduction

This section is a brief guide to what to expect from us as a new client. It can seem like a daunting process getting your business online so to make things easier here are the key steps in the process we use so you know what to expect when you contact us.

Step 1 - Initial Contact

When you first contact us we'll discuss what you are looking for and ask for some background information about your business and what you would like to achieve with a website. We can give you an idea of the likely cost of the type of solution you are looking for.

Step 2 - Detailed Consultation

We discuss your requirements and expectations with you. This enables us to build an accurate picture of how a website solution could be of greatest benefit to your business.

Completing this stage is easier by telephone than by email as it tends to be a two-way process. We don't generally travel to visit our clients but we can arrange a face to face consultation at additional cost if you feel it would be of greater value.

Step 3 - Formal Quotation

Once we have all the information we need we assemble a detailed summary of work and proposal for you. On acceptance of the quotation and payment of the initial design fee, we will commence work according to our agreed schedule.

Step 4 - Initial Design Approval

We produce initial design drafts and make them available for you to view online. We contact you for your feedback and incorporate any design changes at this stage.

Once you are happy with the design we build the site.

Step 5 - Site Sign-off and Launch

When we have built and quality checked the site you will be able to access it online in a test area. If there are any content changes needed they are done at this stage.

When you are happy to go live your site will be transferred to the live webserver and will be switched on. We then submit your new site to the major search engines.

Step 6 - Ongoing Contact and Review

We stay in touch on a regular basis to make sure everything is going well for you and review how well the site is working for your business.

The frequency of our ongoing customer care contact is entirely up to you.
